影片与《鬼影实录》同样采用伪纪录片风格的拍摄方式，剧情更是基本复制了《鬼影实录》：一对年轻夫妇搬进新家，谁知这竟是一间凶宅，妻子遭遇鬼附身，男主人（马龙·韦恩斯 饰）于是请来各路神仙驱魔，试图挽救自己的幸福生活，或者说“性”福生活。影片其实并非仅仅恶搞了《鬼影实录》，前年北美大卖的另一部伪纪录恐怖片《驱魔》也未能幸免。

恶搞近年来的伪纪录恐怖片如《鬼影实录》系列《最后一次驱魔》《心中的恶魔》等影片。与《鬼影实录》同样采用伪纪录片风格的拍摄方式，剧情更是基本复制了《鬼影实录》：一对年轻夫妇搬进新家，谁知这竟是一间凶宅，妻子遭遇鬼附身，男主人（马龙·韦恩斯 饰）于是请来各路神仙驱魔，试图 挽救自己的幸福生活，或者说“性”福生活。影片其实并非仅仅恶搞了《鬼影实录》，前年北美大卖的另一部伪纪录恐怖片《驱魔》也未能幸免 马尔科姆和姬莎是一对年轻的新婚夫妻，他们刚刚搬到了一栋新的房子里，这栋房子是他们梦寐以求的，宽敞、舒适。但是事情却没有他们想的那么简单。

林肯·劳德 (Lincoln Loud) 和他最好的朋友克莱德 (Clyde) 没有参加劳德家族的万圣节惊悚活动，而是参加了由学校新酷孩子 Xander 主办的一场夸张派对，让他的姐妹们负责策划一年一度的活动和盛大的邻里表演，而爸爸则与他的孩子们打架。自己的恶魔并避免被青少年狼人猎人捕获。当桑德和他的一群追随者决定搞恶作剧并攻击劳德屋时，林肯、他的姐妹们和克莱德必须齐心协力拯救万圣节，导致镇上的垃圾场发生了一场史诗般的对峙。
