卡通ABC今天要给大家推荐的英文动画为《低爆金刚战士 XLR》，英文名为《Megas XLR》。本片的背景设定是在遥远的未来，地球被名为Glorft的外星种族袭击，人类节节败退。在眼看战败将成定局的时候，人类偶然间捕获了一台Glorft战斗机器人的原形，并将其命名为M.E.G.A.S.（机动地球防卫战斗系统的缩写），通过时间机器将其和为其训练的驾驶员Kiva送到人类和Glorft战争前夕，希望以此改变战局。没想到时间机器在传送途中出现故障，使Megas受损不说还将其送到了1970年代的美国废车场。在被当成废铁几十年后，本片男主，一名叫Coop的肥宅技工买下了Megas，用一台1970年的普利茅斯肌肉车替换了它受损的头部，和自己的话痨吐槽役好友Jamie以及被传送到21世纪初的Kiva一边过着日常生活一边干爆各类外星坏蛋。
