　轻盈的雪片纷纷落下，又是一年圣诞节到来。在小气鬼艾伯纳德的店里，却丝毫感觉不到节日的气氛，他准许员工米老鼠放半天假，却要扣掉相应的半天工钱；他拒绝了外甥唐老鸭的圣诞晚会邀请，更将为穷人们募捐的善良人士拒之门外。在他看来，世界上只有赚钱才是重要的事情。夜幕降临，艾伯纳德只身一人回到空旷清冷的房子，却遭遇了早已死去的好朋友的鬼魂。他的朋友因为吝啬而受到严酷的惩罚，因此告诫艾伯纳德要及时改正，并且准备迎接即将拜访他的三个灵魂。深夜，三个灵魂相继到来，带着艾伯纳德回忆了他的过去，见证了米老鼠一家寒酸而幸福的圣诞晚宴，更预见了他万劫不复的未来…… 　　本片根据著名作家查尔斯•狄更斯的小说《A Christmas Carol》改编。
