On September 11th, 2001, the security bubble, within which so many Americans live, was violently perforated and, at least for a moment, the air, the heart, the eye was pierced by the rageful acts of the discontented, soon supplanted by the vengeful ax of the U.S. response. This video is an imagistic evocation of the climate (emotional and otherwise) of this time.

September 11, 2001 devastated the lives of countless people and changed the world. Two planes hijacked by supporters of the Islamist terrorist network al-Qaeda crashed into the towers of New York's World Trade Center. A third plane flew into the Pentagon, another was crashed in Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people have to die. Contemporary witnesses recount the experiences of September 11th from their perspective.

It is September 11, 2001, and a young man goes missing in New York. Because of his eastern name and his Islamic religion, he is suspected of being involved in the World Trade Center attack. The FBI inquire about him. The neighbors of his family show their disapproval. His family hold out hope that he will be found and exonerated. "September 11: The New Pearl Harbor" is a 5-hour documentary that summarizes 12 years of public debate on 9/11. While aimed primarily at a general, uninformed audience, the film also contains some new findings that may be of interest to advanced researchers.

Originally aired on the first anniversary of September 11, The Morning of September 11, 2001 is a documentary researched, written, produced, and directed by Caesar Darias for WPIX-TV. It went unseen for another 19 years until Mr. Darias posted it to his personal YouTube channel, @CaesarDarias, for historic preservation. The program won a New York Emmy Award for Outstanding News Special and the Edward R. Murrow Award (Television - Large Market) in the News Documentary category.

This poignant documentary, narrated by award-winning actress Stockard Channing, profiles the firemen of Rescue 3, who used strength and solidarity to prevail against unbearable pain and loss during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Adlon recounts the making of the sculpture, "Kugelkaryatide" the sphere that stood in the center of Tobin Plaza between the two towers of the World Trade Center. The film follows the sculpture from its creation as the largest bronze sculpture of recent times to the aftermath, where it now stands, heavily scarred, in Battery Park.

A documentary that chronicles the final hours of Chilean president Salvador Allende, deposed by a military coup on 11 September, 1973 by General Augusto Pinochet, his chosen Commander-in-Chief of the Chilean Army. The film interviews the people who were trapped in the presidential palace during the attacks and some military who part of the initial strike that led to the military government for a decade.
